Supporting local is Wicked Hi’s main mission. We live on a small island where most of our food is imported from around the world. This takes many resources to ship, compromises quality of our food, as produce is harvested under-ripe to make the journey, and also doesn’t support the local farmers growing right here in Hawaii. We source our ingredients from local farmers and bee keepers which is why our flavors are constantly changing! Seasonal fruits and honey are reflected in our Honey Slush. From the creamy kiawe honey and fresh mangoes we use in the summer, to the floral, dark amber honey and tart lilikoi we use in the fall… our slush is FRESH AND LOCAL YEAR ROUND. Check us out at our many different Farmer’s Market locations to try our flavors and also see what the farmers are harvesting!

Sustainability is another key word in our mission. N0t all farmers and bee keepers are creating equally. Small scale is always the best option when sourcing your produce and honey. Small scale bee keepers are caring for their bees, not over harvesting, or trekking their hives to different locations for pollination. This stresses out the bees, and also forces them to feed off one type of pollen. The bee keepers we work with, like Tolentino Honey Co. plant flowers and crops around their hives. The honey flavors and textures change seasonally depending on what is flowering. Our customers get to see and taste this throughout the year, which also helps with local allergies! You are eating with the seasons and aligning yourself with the earth.
